Verdict

A valuable lady riders event gets proceedings underway and it would be no surprise to see the evergreen Orpsie Boy proving a warm order with Serena Brotherton aboard. Megan Nicholls is entitled to claim 5lb and that could prove invaluable on CARA'S REQUEST. The nine-year-old has been handed a favourable low draw and with an ability to race handily, he has plenty to recommend. Freddy With A Y is tried with a first time visor and is worth another try over the trip having finished a solid third at Lingfield last month. My Single Malt and Kakapuka were second and fourth in last year's renewal and the latter will enjoy a pull at the weights tonight. Alan Berry's horses have been in decent form of late so Licence To Till should not be dismissed despite a tricky draw.
