Verdict

GRAZED KNEES stepped up markedly on his debut when getting to within a length-and-half of the odds-on Mubtaghaa at Nottingham. He has the experience to take advantage of his plum draw here. Spend A Penny was sent off favourite on his debut at Hamilton but could only finish fourth - he may already need another furlong. Tom Dascombe's juveniles are always worth a second look here and newcomer Seve, a half-brother to the speedy two-year-old Ballesteros, is better drawn than stablemate Little Belter and may do best today. Crawford Avenue was very green at Ascot and is capable of better.
