Verdict

Peter Paul Rubens has shown improved form of late and is fancied to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Milk It Mick and Glaramara. The selection has won nurseries at Sandown and Goodwood in his last two starts, making all on each occasion and with only six runners here a draw in stall four may not be enough to prevent him from doing so again. Dewhurst winner Milk It Mick has not shown the same sparkle as in his juvenile campaign but has to be respected at the weights today. He rates a bigger threat than Alan Bailey's Glaramara, who has not troubled the judge since his second start as a two-year-old. Jedburgh is held by the selection on running at Goodwood last month, while Oman Sea has a long absence to overcome. Enford Princess does not look good enough in a race that is taken to go to Peter Paul Rubens.
