With the loss of his stable star, it's been a pretty wretched season for Jamie Osborne but he is taken to gain a modicom of compensation with a victory for Mr Toad. He was probably a little unlucky in the Greenham Stakes at Kempton last time out but he does have winning form on the surface and the booking of Kevin Darley looks positive. Baralinka, from the Paul Cole stable, has been contesting the big handicaps but despite her obvious speed, the draw of ten does not inspire too much confidence. Bella Chica could go well at a large price. Jeremy Glover is not adverse to sending out winners at the Roodeye and although his filly has had a couple of hard races this term, the handicapper does look to be giving her some respite at present. Kulachi has done little wrong this season and the Channon yard are still sending out the winners. His best performances are arguably over further and there is an obvious questionmark as to how he will handle the track. Of the remainder, Night Runner makes some appeal. He had been giving weight away to against older and more experienced horses at Beverley but the return to six furlongs against his own age group should be welcomed.
