In depth

Verdict

The handicapper raised DIOPHAS 5lb for beating Forjoetheplumber at Killarney in July and, as the third Kilmurry has since completed a hat-trick, the extra burden shouldn't prove too much of a problem for Edward O'Grady's charge and he can score again. Shamrock Hall landed a point at Lingstown a year ago before an easy victory in a maiden hunter chase on this course in February. This is his first start in a handicap and will find it tougher. Another former hunter, Travino, landed a beginners' chase at Gowran in March but was beaten a long way in a handicap at Cork the following month. Old Si hasn't been the most consistent of performers this year but his best form puts him in the frame while three times point-to-point winner Tullintain ran quite well at Punchestown last time and can race from the same mark.
