Verdict

Bold Gesture is expected to leave his poor point-to-point and bumper form behind now tackling hurdles but has plenty to do. Spyglass Hill looked as though he needed much further when tackling 2m on his hurdling bow at Listowel so the extra will suit though stable companion NOTEBOOK is a much more likely winner. A winner between the flags, he attempted to make all on his debut over timber in what looked a strong Wexford maiden and, though headed two out, battled on strongly and will be suited by the longer trip. Salty Boy, another point-to-point winner, reverted to a bumper at Downpatrick after a reasonable effort over timber at Listowel while Ask Mary is interesting as she completed a four-timer between the flags and can't have been right when pulled up in a hunter chase at Tipperary.
