Plenty of runners but few with realistic chances. GIANT SPIRIT had Great Khan 10 lengths behind when they occupied the places here last month and though that was over 2m3f this will be a stamina test in the conditions and the places should be confirmed. Willie Mullins' charge has since been well beaten in a Leopardstown handicap but found the 3m much too far. Border Control looks more of a threat as he ran really well when runner-up over this trip at Naas before failing to last out an extended 2m7f at Thurles. Monatomic has shown some potential and, with his yard still firing in the winners, is expected to improve.
