Verdict

A huge field of maidens to end the day but PAENE MAGNUS looks the one to be on. Jim Bolger's Teofilio colt looked a certain future winner when a close second to Danzerini over this trip at Limerick then appeared to find a mile just stretching him at the Curragh. Back over this trip he looks the one to beat. Fastidious hasn't progressed from last season's promise and disappointed when fancied for a handicap at Galway during the week but Overcall made a promising start behind Encrypted Message at Fairyhouse and will have come on a bundle for the experience. Curia Regis has had enough chances but Hatton Cross was going on strongly over 6f at Dundalk and is one to keep an eye on.
