In depth

Verdict

DRUMCONNOR LAD, a very easy winner between the flags at Necarne in May 2015, didn't make his debut under Rules until last month where he bumped into a very useful prospect in Ballyward, who won in a canter. Jamie Codd again takes the ride and it's unlikely his mount will come up against one as smart as that winner. Now Mcginty has also come up against some decent performers but should do better when tackling hurdles so the main threat may come from one of the Joseph O'Brien-trained pair. Ancient Empire is bred to be a staying chaser but West Coast Time is out of a winning bumper so may have more pace than his stable companion.
