In depth

Verdict

A disappointing turnout, due almost certainly to the presence of GOLDEN SILVER, who can't be opposed. Willie Mullins' Grade 1 winner hasn't been seen since running poorly behind Big Zeb in the Champion Chase at Punchestown in May but had beaten Colm Murphy's champion there in January and is in a different league to these rivals. Becauseicouldntsee is a cracking staying prospect as he showed when runner-up in the Paddy Power Handicap at Leopardstown in December and that looks to be his target again later in the month. Osirixamix should do best of the remaining trio.
