In depth

Verdict

Raffaello Santi gained his only success over 1m4f on very fast ground at Galway last summer and will find conditions very different here. La Chassotte completed a summer hat-trick on very fast going and is another who may not be suited by this ground but Captain Dancer is at home with plenty of give as he showed on his reappearance behind Torpichen at the Curragh and he's on the short-list. Flowers Of Spring made excellent progress in what was her first campaign last year and she looks a big danger to all though the lack of a recent run may just catch Andy Oliver's filly out against the race-fit pair Leah Claire, who had done well over hurdles before coming with a late run to score over 1m4f at Roscommon on Monday, and SWAMPFIRE, who just gets the nod. John Oxx' colt looked a very promising type when beating Estithmaar at Limerick and a big run from the latter in the preceding event would be a boost to his chances.
