Verdict

Clar Na Mionn led for a long way over this trip at Navan a month ago and though weakening quickly from two out it was an improved display. Tabac Brun was caught close home over slightly further at Tramore on New Year's Eve before a decent effort in a much better maiden at Clonmel. MIREYA, who has been alternating between bumpers and hurdles, gets the nod as she landed a Galway bumper in September and reappeared with a fine run behind Operating at Leopardstown earlier this month. Peinora has been making progress and should be in the mix judging by her fine run behind Wicklow Lad in a Naas handicap while winning point-to-pointer Cyprian Prince makes his debut over timber after disappointing when favourite for a Thurles bumper last month.
