In depth

Verdict

Mick Hourigan must be despairing of getting a race out of AERLITE SUPREME and there has to be question marks after finishing runner-up four times. However, he's been coming up against decent opposition and this looks his turn. Lettermacaward looks a major threat, however, as he followed his victory between the flags at Dromahane with a fine hurdling debut at Gowran where he couldn't quite match strides with Lughnasa, who carries top weight earlier on the card. The Pounds has been making good progress and failed by just a head to hold off Band Of Blood at Thurles but Velvet Rose was a bit disappointing when fancied at Clonmel last month.
