In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston has a very good record in Irish handicaps so don't be surprised by a big run from English Summer despite moderate form figures. John Oxx has a very strong hand with the three-year-olds Minsk and DIMONA with preference for the latter, who is guaranteed to stay the trip and was having only the sixth race of her career when runner-up in a premier handicap at Killarney in August. John Morrison has worked wonders with Much Acclaimed, who gained his fourth success in five starts over timber at Listowel last month. He's very much on the upgrade and looks certain to go well as does the consistent Asiya, who wasn't far behind him over 1m6f here last time. The veteran Fosters Cross easily beat Cry For The Moon over the trip at the Galway Festival and though 11lb higher can't be dismissed.
