Tempo Mac won over fences in August and dead-heated over 1m5f at Down Royal but this is tougher. Along The Shore is better on ground with plenty of give and Mainicin is 9lb higher than his last victory. Sir Raston's only victory on the Flat came over two miles and he scored over hurdles last month so this could be on the short side. The Fox Tully has been running well though a strike-rate of 2-53 doesn't convince but Bog War would have a chance on last year's form, though he's only run once over hurdles this summer and finished last. A very competitive finale can go to PLAIN TALKING, who is still a maiden on the Flat but has improved 24lb over timber this summer so could prove a blot on the handicap.
