Royal Illusion won this in 2019 but was disqualified after finishing sixth a year ago. He's one of four entries, plus first reserve, from Willie Mullins yard and may prove the pick. Emmet Mullins won the race last year with Cape Gentleman and though Sevenna Star doesn't have the same credentials he'll be tuned up for a repeat. Aircraft Carrier was beaten two lengths a year ago and has been racing in stronger company but is 11lb higher less his rider's claim. Joseph O'Brien has five entries with the lightly-raced pair Benaud and Ebendi looking as though they have been aimed at the race. The latter reappeared at Killarney behind Dalton Highway and the winner has Jake Coen's 10lb claim to aid his cause but a chance is taken with the stable's three-year-old AZALLYA, who looked one to follow when scoring at Cork after a long absence. Turnpike Trip, Dewcup and National Ballet are others to note in a race where nothing can be ruled out.
