In depth

Verdict

Cooper's Hawk's experience could stand him in good stead in these conditions though he looks vulnerable to an improver. Salvucci will improve from his run at Cork where he wasn't at home on fast ground while Sir Sedric made a fair start at Dundalk. Aidan O'Brien looks to have this covered with three runners. Horoscope, a 300,000gns yearling, is by No Nay Never whose offspring have been acting in testing conditions. Iowa is related to several very smart winners but was a bit disappointing when well supported here in August. KHARTOUM cost $1m and is the third foal of a mare who has produced useful winners with her first two. He'll have come on markedly for his debut at Naas and looks the one to beat with Colin Keane having his first of three rides for the stable today.
