The final race of the season here looks as tricky as ever. Aidan O'Brien won it a year ago with Heirloom but the lightly-raced pair Buonarroti and Blue Hussar will need to step up on what they have showed so far and Galway winner Vivat Rex probably needs a bit more experience at this level. Their stablemate Shell House could only finish fifth when Tarana beat Altesse in good style in a Galway Listed contest then the winner just failed to concede 13lb to Vintage Nouveau at the same level at Listowel. That winner is trained by Dermot Weld who has EMERITA entered here and it's the very impressive Fairyhouse maiden winner who is handed the vote to make the transition to this level. Second Step represents Luca Cumani but she is making her debut in pattern race company and will need to find much more.
