Verdict

This is a stiff test on the prevailing ground but hopefully MAGICIAN will be up to the task. Aidan O'Brien's colt put a moderate debut behind him with an excellent second to Mouteab over 7f at Dundalk where he stayed on strongly. He's a son of Galileo as is the Ballydoyle newcomer League Of Nations, who is a full brother to a winning hurdler and out of a 7f winner. Bunairgead also ran well over 7f at Dundalk last time and is the type who will have benefited greatly from the experience while Tommy Stack's filly Alive Alive Oh is the fourth foal of a mare who has already produced three winners so is one to keep an eye on.
