Verdict

Intisaab won this for David O'Meara a year ago and he's now 2lb lower with Frankie booked. Runner-up Ardhoomey has enough of a pull to more than close the gap though his stable may have a better chance with Buffer Zone. Colin Keane's mount was well supported on his first start for the yard over the track and trip last month and duly obliged so an 8lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run. Chessman has been running in Listed and Group 2 company and hasn't been beaten far while any give in the ground would suit Manshood, staying on when runner-up to El Astronaute over 5f here last month. Ice Cold In Alex is better over 7f but will be finishing faster than most and is respected but a chance is taken on SMASH WILLIAMS with his young rider's claim a bonus as he's been competing at a high level and his narrow defeat when attempting to concede Soffia 24lb over the track and trip in September was a superb effort.
