Verdict

A big field maiden to finish the Guineas meeting and it should pay to stick with the top trainers. That being said I'll put forward ALBURJ to go in ahead of Changeisgonacome and Bright Horizon. This may turn out to be a decent maiden with the above three named all holding noticeable entries later in the year. The Weld team are hitting form at the right time their once raced son of Dynaformer had the one run at two. He acquitted himself quite well that day in heavy ground and the return to good safe ground should bring further improvement for this Irish Derby entry. Jim Bolger's charge is another consider in a tight race. The yard won this last year with a decent type. The son of Consolidator made a pleasing debut behind a smart type and could well make his experience count. The Ballydoyle horse, Bright Horizon is taken to improve on his debut run but may just come up short. Akatara is another note but Alburj gets the vote. Previews by Declan Rix
