In depth

Verdict

The veteran Rock Critic just failed to catch I'll Be Your Clown at Sligo and is on a fair mark these days. Plough Boy only failed by a short-head at Galway or he'd have been on a five-timer. He's another 6lb higher than when scoring at Killarney but it will be a surprise if he's not in the firing line. Wexford Opera started favourite at Naas on Wednesday but found 7f too short while Cailin Mor has been raised 7lb for finishing runner-up at Navan. The lightly-raced Chenega Bay will need to do better than on his handicap debut here but has the scope to do so but this can go to another progressive type in DAZZLE THE DUEL. He was sent to Newbury for his handicap debut and travelled well throughout the race before digging deep for a victory over today's trip.
