Jim Bolger has won this three times in the last five years and looks to have another good chance with Halla Ban, who won over an extended 1m2f at Roscommon last month. She's only 1lb higher and has her rider's 7lb claim to help. Joseph O'Brien is another with a very good record in the race and has two entries, both at the bottom of the handicap. Lygon Street is bred for this sort of trip and has been racing over much shorter as has Skyquake, whose dam won over 1m3f. ALMA LIBRE (NAP) was beaten half-a-length under Danny Sheehy in this a year ago and though 7lb higher arrives in top form having scored over 1m2f at Fairyhouse. She's taken to go one better than last year as Cursory Exam has only won at Dundalk and Crassus has a very long absence to overcome.
