In depth

Verdict

Would Be King is easily the pick on his juvenile form which includes a placed effort in a Group 3 though he's been very disappointing this campaign. SIR EREC, who is bred for middle-distances, just failed to hold on when tackling 1m1f on very heavy ground at Leopardstown in April and makes his belated return to action though he looks the type to make progress and he's still in the St Leger. Ciao was staying on strongly over a mile on the latter track and much better was expected of both Savitar at Roscommon and Jassaar at Galway where they started favourite. Shakespear'sgalley is by Galileo out of a USA Grade 2 winner so is definitely one to keep an eye on.
