In depth

Verdict

Terre Du Vent twice won Listed races on the Flat in France and her first two runs over hurdles were in Grade 2 events. However, she was a huge disappointment when odds-on at Fakenham in December and has a bit to prove now. Cracking Lass was another decent sort on the level and won as recently as October while Call Me A Star was a useful sort in bumpers and has already won over timber at Uttoxeter - she has tackled Listed company since. But Alan King's mare has to give 6lb to UTOPIE DES BORDES who won four times over fences at Cagnes-sur-mer and Auteuil. She beat recent Newbury winner Fago in a Grade 1 in November and, clearly very talented, can get off the mark over the smaller obstacles here.
