Verdict

Whataknight was only beaten a nose over track and trip on his handicap debut, when Balmusette was well beaten, but was rewarded with an 11lb rise in the weights. This will be a big test for the four-year-old Fingertips but he ran well over a shorter trip at Ascot last time. Zeroeshadesofgrey has now won twice over course and distance so has to be respected but Waterclock steps up a grade after a couple of placed efforts at Wetherby and may be found wanting. SUGAR BARON never really figured dropped in trip at Kempton last time and was tailed off. He'd been staying on over 2m5f previously so should find this trip within his range and he's less exposed than the majority of today's rivals so gets the nod.
