    Verdict

Hearthstead Pride could had been in fair form on the all-weather but looks even better on turf and could hardly have been more impressive when thrashing his rivals at pontefract last week. Mark Johnston's charge can expect no leniency from the handicapper and he will be taking a big leap up the ratings so this looks a golden opportunity under a 5lb penalty. Sculptor has not fulfilled early potential and is now tried in blinkers so Callisto, who has shaped well in maidens, looks the one for the forecast.
