In depth

Verdict

Nesterenko came good over course and distance 10 days ago and his amateur rider's claim takes care of the penalty. But this looks a lot more competitive, though the consistent Hartside has gone up a further 3lb since his third at Leicester and Bohemian Rhapsody was a little disappointing when sent off favourite at Kempton over Christmas. But Phantom Prince ran well behind Beau Lake at Lingfield on his first start since May, however, and the winner has gone in again since while Boston Blue is a previous winner over track and trip and was second at Chepstow in November. The four-year-olds Stephen Hero and FORCED FAMILY FUN lack a bit of experience but both have been given a chance at the weights. The latter pulled much too hard at Ffos Las last month but was still only beaten a length-and-a-half giving 7lb to the winner. If Brian Hughes can find him some cover here, he could take all the beating getting weight all round.
