Verdict

Thunder Snow’s sixth in the Coventry is more impressive than it appears as he raced on the slower side of the course. There was nothing wrong with his debut victory or his close second in the Vintage Stakes but there are a couple of slightly less exposed types in this race, including RIVET. He took a while to get the hang of things on his debut and was a touch green at York last time. But he powered away strongly and could take some stopping here. Majeste is from a stable with a strong recent record in this contest and is respected but, like D’bai, has plenty to find.
