Verdict

Spanish Mission beat Selino easily enough in Listed company over a shorter trip at Chester though had finished just behind fourth-placed Eagles By Day in the Goodwood Cup earlier. The latter will find this easier than his recent tasks but Revolver, unbeaten in handicaps this year, steps up in class having won over 2m1f at Pontefract last time. THE GRAND VISIR has also been handicapping with good efforts over longer trips in the Queen Alexandra at Ascot and 2m4f at Goodwood last time. He looks worth a try at this level given today’s marathon trip and gets a speculative vote. Frankie is back on board Red Verdon having partnered the latter to a Group 2 win over 1m6f in France in July but Island Brave looks up against it on these terms.
