Lackamon has been running well over marathon trips but he's crept up the weights again as a consequence and soft going seems vital to his cause. Desert Joe looked to be on the way back when fourth at Ascot while Ueueteotl kept on well for second over 3m here last time, though was never on the bridle. Ballyben and Master Rajeem are stout stayers but Ruapehu hasn't raced since successful at Wincanton in May. ORANGE NASSAU wasn't beaten far over this trip at Carlisle on his reappearance. He should strip fitter here and could be a first winner for young Tom Humphries if back to his best, though old Ikorodu Road has run well around here in the past.
