    In depth

    Verdict

Cuban Cigar was slowly away at Nottingham last week so that effort can be upgraded but stable companion ELOQUENT ARTHUR won over 6f at Windsor on his reappearance and was only beaten half-a-length over this trip at Newmarket in October so a step back in distance won’t be a problem. London Palladium won twice last year and relishes soft ground and is another to consider but Impeller didn’t beat much in a maiden handicap at Southwell last month and Lead Story is making his debut on Turf.
