      Verdict

      BYRON FLYER was narrowly beaten over 2m at the Shergar Cup meeting at Ascot last time but an earlier second over today’s trip at Newmarket is the more pertinent form. He finished ahead of subsequent Ebor winner Nakeeta on that occasion and gets the nod in this. Seamour and the unpredictable Elidor were both well beaten in the Ebor though the latter had run well in a Group 2 in Ireland before that while Time To Study takes on older horses on the back of placed effort over 1m6f at Haydock. Penglai Pavilion finished in front of Shrewd over 2m at York last time and Lord George was a close-up fourth in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle before struggling in France.
