Verdict

Disappointingly just seven of the 27 entries stand their ground for this 1m4f handicap headed in the weights by Reg Hollinshead's Ceralbi. The four-year-old has yet to prove that he stays this trip and is probably best left alone. The Michael Dods-trained Polish Corridor stayed on well over two furlongs shorter when winning at Pontefract last month and was not stopping at the end of 11 furlongs at Redcar last time. Less exposed than most, particularly over this trip, the three-year-old has solid claims. The consistent Distant Cousin should run his usual race but may have to settle for minor honours again. Rutland Chantry has slipped to a winning mark.
