KIWI BAY looks a decent bet to land the finale; Always A Rock and Astrodonna rate as the main dangers. The selection ran really well on his all-weather debut at Wolverhampton last time when he finished third behind Wasp. He has found life tough since winning a Redcar handicap in facile fashion back in June, but he looks to be on the way back and from a good draw he can get his head in front. Always A Rock has got the ability to win this but he has gone off the boil of late. This slight drop in trip should suit and the yard are in good form, but it is hard to recommend him with confidence. Astrodonna is steadily dropping down the handicap and she ran a fair race last time to finish fourth behind Spate River at Goodwood. She has a good draw and the useful Ashley Morgan on board so she has to be respected. I Confess has been running well recently on the all-weather, so it will be interesting to see if he can translate that form back to the turf. Kiwi Bay makes plenty of appeal and is put forward as the pick.
