    Verdict

Huntingdon runner-up Shining Romeo and Exeter fourth Russian Approval will be hoping to cash in on their experience here with Very First Time the only other of their rivals to have seen a racecourse. But they don't set a particularly high standard and Malcolm Jefferson's newcomer Captain Sam, who is a half-brother to two Flat winners one of which won over 7f here last year, looks a better long-term prospect. Harry Skelton’s runners in bumpers are always worth a market check and the Kayf Tara grey Kafella is no exception. SHABRAQUE is a half-brother to useful miler Ayaar and Teide Peak, who stayed 1m4f, so gets a tentative vote with trainer David Loder back among the winners.
