Your A Gassman gets the confident nomination in this valuable race and he is taken to see off his chief rivals Tikram and Colourful Life. The selection was unlucky when he was brought down when going well at Kempton on Boxing Day in a race won by Ollie Magern. He has been improving all season and there is no reason why he can't continue on his upward curve by winning this. Tikram will give him plenty to think about if he sees out this trip, but that is by no means guaranteed in his first try over this longer distance, He has bags of ability but he is not the most straightforward of characters and we will take him on. Colourful Life will certainly have no stamina worries and he will also find this ground to his liking. In fact he might be even better over slightly further and he looks to have a solid each-way chance. Itsonlyme won well last time over this course and distance but he had failed to complete the course on his four previous starts so it is hard to put him forward with any degree of confidence. This is a good contest with some potentially nice types in opposition, but Your A Gassman has an improving profile and he is the one that they will all have to beat.
