In depth

Verdict

It was encouraging that the jumps-bred Beggars Cross had enough speed to win a bumper at Huntingdon on his racecourse debut. Chap is interesting now going jumping and Wade Harper was still just about in front when coming down at Haydock having placed at Newton Abbot and Wincanton earlier. GO LONG readily picked off the odds-on Charbel over 2m here last month and the longer trip won't be a problem as he was placed over 3m in a point-to-point. Evan Williams' charge is preferred to easy Ludlow winner Apple Of Our Eye and can defy his penalty.
