Verdict

The bottom trio are out of the handicap though Out Of The Loop is only 1lb wrong and looked a very progressive type when beating an odds-on chance in a Downpatrick maiden. The veteran Realt Mor is much better known as a chaser but scored at Thurles the last time he ran over timber in January. His stable also run Veinard, a consistent performer at this level but 20lb higher than his only victory a year ago. Tony Martin and Ruby Walsh are a formidable partnership and GOLDEN SPEAR, who was winning the November Handicap on the Flat at Leopardstown around this time a year ago, can bounce back to form after a moderate run at Killarney as his earlier effort behind Top Othe Ra at Galway would put him right in the frame, though the latter should also get involved. The smart four-year-old Housesofparliament faces a stiff test on his handicap debut but Mr Showtime's stamina should come into play in what should be a fast-run contest on soft ground. Charlie Stout is another versatile and consistent performer with a shout in a tight handicap.
