Verdict

Plenty of runners here but few with realistic chances on form and bumper winners Glenlo Abbey and Jakros, who both have the potential to go on to better things, are penalised and may find it difficult to concede weight to more experienced rivals. A chance is taken on QOUBILAI, who is hardly a safe option having failed to complete the course in three of his four starts but who looked a potentially decent stayer when a close third behind King's Bastion at Leopardstown's Christmas fixture. Energiser would be suited by plenty of rain as he's an out-and-out stayer and Kembla Grange ran reasonably well when tried over 3m1f at Perth last time though the ground was very fast that day.
