Verdict

Bostons Angel won three times over hurdles and made a promising start over fences behind Thegreatjohnbrowne at Punchestown. Warne has plenty of experience over the bigger obstacles and his accurate jumping will ensure he gets into contention here while point-to-point winners Linnel and Royal De La Thinte are interesting newcomers to chasing, especially the latter whose front-running style will have some of these stretched from the start. The ex-French Roi Du Mee looks the type to do better and should have learnt from his fall at Thurles but AD IDEM may be good enough to make a winning start over the bigger obstacles. Pauline Gavin's charge, a winner between the flags, progressed nicely over hurdles last season and has the scope to do well in this sphere.
