Verdict

Toomdeely went to Thurles with a favourite's chance after his fine victory at Listowel but jumped stickily and will need to do much better here. Leggy Lad was having only his second start over fences when easily landing a beginners' event at Sligo but the assessor hasn't done him any favours while The Big Boyo couldn't keep tabs on the useful Mossey Joe at Killarney in May and makes his handicap debut from what looks a tough mark. Winning point-to-pointer Linnel has shown some promise over regulation fences but Talkin' Tough fell on his first two chase starts. Inverglen begins his handicap career from the bottom of the weights but it's another who looks well-in, DARK VAGABOND, that gets the nod as he followed his victory between the flags at Castletown with easily his best run under Rules when just touched off in a Punchestown handicap.
