Verdict

GALVIN was narrowly beaten by Frodon in this last year having warmed up with a victory in a Punchestown Grade 3. He's following the same route this time around and looks likely to go one better. Stablemate Conflated won the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown in February before falling when likely to be placed in the Ryanair at Cheltenham. A narrow defeat by Clan Des Obeaux at Aintree was another cracking effort but he might just lack the race fitness of the selection. Kemboy was eight lengths behind in that latter event and doesn't quite look Grade 1 class these days and though Envoi Allen is unbeaten in three starts here his stamina for the trip is unproven. Beacon Edge hasn't made the expected progress after winning last year's Drinmore.
