In depth

Verdict

Like all of these, the superbly-bred MISS EKATERINA could do with a win for the paddocks and though she hasn't been seen since runner-up to Betterbetterbetter at Dundalk in April that bare form should be good enough and hopefully she'll be ready after her break. Gun Shoot showed promise early in the summer and this trip should suit while Precious Stone was suited by dropping back to this trip at Clonmel and looks certain to go close. Empress Of Tara may have been a bit unfortunate at Gowran as she drifted in the closing stages before staying on again but the main threat may emerge from Starstruck, who returned after a short break to give supporters of Purple a fright at Killarney last week.
