Verdict

The lightly-raced VINTAGE NOUVEAU makes most appeal of these. She won by five lengths at the Curragh last month when beating subsequent winner Westpieser and should have no trouble confirming superiority with further progress expected. Dragon Fei has been upped 12lb for her recent win at the Curragh and the same fate may await her as befell Melanippe last time. The latter finished last having been raised no less than 18lb for scoring at Dundalk earlier. Ballinrobe winner Upper Silesian also caught the handicapper in a bad mood as she's been upped a further 2lb for a nine-length defeat in Listed company last time.
