Verdict

COEUR DE BEAUCHENE, runner-up in a point in November, didn't run anywhere near as well as expected in a bumper at Navan three weeks ago but looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Dawn Shadow showed the benefit of his opening run with a much better effort at Down Royal on St Patrick's Day and won't have to improve much to get into contention here. Amarillo Rose showed some potential at Down Royal in August but has run poorly since so the newcomer Camaro may prove more of a threat as he's out of a bumper winner in France.
