Verdict

MARCHESE MARCONI may not have raced since this time last year but should be winning this if retaining most of his ability. He was beaten less than a length by subsequent Listed winner Aklan at the Curragh on his only start and the O'Brien colt will appreciate today's longer trip. Currentis made her comeback over a mile here and should finish much closer over this more suitable distance while Massini's Trap has claims if reproducing his debut second at Leopardstown last summer. Fairview Star wasn't beaten far when sixth on his debut on the Flat in November and hurdles winner Flying Light was placed at Tramore in one of his two starts on the level.
