In depth

Verdict

COTO made a tardy start and failed to obtain a clear run on her debut in the opening race of the Turf season at the Curragh when Dancing Zafeen showed good speed before fading. The former is out of a 5f winning juvenile and the experience gained can see her take this. Kevin Prendergast trained the winner and is represented here by Wee Monster, who is closely related to several winners including two-year-olds, so should have plenty of pace. Dermot Weld has been firing in the winners so the filly Not Really, a half-sister to the useful Montridge, is one to keep an eye on as is Packing Go Go, who has plenty of winning relatives and cost 120,000 euros though this could prove on the short side.
