In depth

Verdict

War Room finally got off the mark here last month but he'd given notice of victory on his previous start so with just 1lb extra to contend with should get into the frame. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (NAP) scored at Navan last month from today's rival Rose Angel and came here under a penalty five days later. She couldn't quite cope with The Dancing Lord but the winner scored again on Friday so the form looks very strong and she can return to winning ways despite being 5lb worse off with Rose Angel. Beat The Ballot has only won twice, both times on this track, and though it's two years since his last success he ran very well here last time and is on a handy mark. Prince Jock doesn't have much all-weather experience, though he's managed a victory at Laytown, while Norville's victory here in June was in a three-runner race.
