In depth

Verdict

Acting Talent had looked a certain future winner after a fine debut at Navan but failed to land the odds on her next two starts then ran poorly when dropped back to 5f at Tipperary. She makes her debut on Polytrack here. Count Of Carabass has improved on this surface though was receiving a stone when narrowly beaten by Wishyouwerehere in a handicap over track and trip three weeks ago when Political Policy stayed on into third. The latter again ran on well when tackling a mile last week so may need further. Timely Call couldn't handle testing ground when last seen at Listowel in September but in a moderate contest a chance is taken on Willie McCreery's newcomer THE BIG CAT, who is bred to be speedy and won't need to be a world-beater to make a winning start.
